Seba Johnson made history at the tender age of 14 as the youngest Alpine Ski Racer in Olympic History and the first Black female to ever ski in the Olympics, a title which Johnson still holds today. As an animal rights activist, and a vegan since birth, Seba protested what would have been her third Olympic Games because the host country lifted their moratorium and resumed practice of commercial hunting for minke whale. Always compelled to speak out against various forms of oppression, Seba's unique perspective on life solidifies her unwavering commitment to helping the lives of all human/nonhuman animals. Seba’s history-making Olympic skis are currently on display at the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC.

“What about school lunches?” “What if he gets curious about meat?” These are a few of the questions most vegan moms hear while raising vegan children. Claudia Ivonne, a vegan mom raising a vegan child, is a Las Vegas native who holds many titles. She is an actress, bikini fitness competitor, Lady Gaga Impersonator, published writer, public speaker, expert gardener, environmentalist, and wife, but the one she is most proud of is mother to a vegan 5 year old healthy boy who embodies her philosophy of sustainable living. Claudia’s vegan journey began when a close family member was diagnosed with cancer twice and the power of plants was the sole reason that person is alive today, cancer free. Years later, Claudia created The Vixen Garden to show not only are you growing food, but medicine as well. What’s extraordinary about all of her accolades and titles is she accomplished them with her little man by her side.

Roo Abdel-Al has lived in Las Vegas for over 30 years. She left a 10-year career implementing behavioral therapy to pursue her love of food. She began Ruse, a local vegan pop-up business, in 2018 to show the valley that a plant-based diet does not require a luxurious lifestyle. She was committed to never buying pre-made ingredients from a third party and spent a year perfecting recipes to ensure that everything is made in house which keeps costs low for the consumer. Ruse travels all across the valley creating meticulously spiced dishes and has partnered with other local businesses to provide her plant-based dishes at permanent locations.
Roo’s goal is to eventually open her own permanent location and show the world how vegan food can be redefined.

In the early years, he sang in church, where most start off singing, and found a passion for it and it has added a sense of peace in his life.
In 1990, he decided to learn piano where he has become quite accomplished. Always drumming and tapping on everything that could make noise, he fell for hand percussion and the vibe that comes with it.
